Are you still considered a blogger? :)
I have come to realize that I blog when I have spare time. Spare time has not been something that I have come by recently. Actually, I have had free time, but it's been spent reading, relaxing and processing life. Not bad things, but it means the blogging has gone by the waste-side! Sorry to all of you readers.
My job continues to be a blessing. VERY challenging, and I am learning so much that I didn't know, but it's awesome. I am officially our Human Resources, Payroll, Accounting and now pseudo-IT department. They joked with me that I need to literally get different hats that I can put on when I am working on each thing :) I have learned a LOT about California employment laws! Other than that, I am being mentored and trained in people and crisis management. And there's a lot to learn! You can't avoid/downplay conflict when managing people (which is something I historically like to do....but am actively working on this).
I also started an acting class at Mosaic, to keep using the other side of my brain :) I love playing in theatre, there's nothing like it.
That's all for now folks, I'll try to be back soon!

I Promise I'm Alive
I know what you all are thinking, Sarah got a super sweet job and now she has no more time for blogging.
And, you'd be right! :)
Life has been sweeping me away, and I feel so full of blessings. My schedule, my coworkers, the vision, the passion, and the laptop (I am working on a new MacBook Pro!!!!) are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
I can truly say that unlike normal situations where you have coworkers that maybe become friends, I have friends that I am happy to call coworkers.
It's been challenging, and I am learning ALL about starting a new company. It's thrilling to be at the helm and helping make it all happen.
After weeks and weeks of exhausting schedules, I am "officially" done with all my side projects, and can concentrate on this new job. Tonight I have totally FREE and I plan to take a bubble bath! Yeah me!!! :)
This weekend I am headed back to MN for homecoming, and am SO looking forward to seeing my family, going apple picking and soaking in fall. I LOVE Fall, and in MN it can't be beat (as I sit here sweating in CA....).
Love to you all!

Simply Amazing (and I'm still in shock) Part II
I was nervous.
THAT'S an understatement.
I couldn't eat, my cheeks burned red, my heart thumped, my pits sweat...
While my personal interactions with Erwin have been few (enough that he knows my name if he saw me), I have read this man's books, listen to him on Sundays and been directly impacted and changed by the people he's mentored. My life has been changed because of his life.
Oh, and did I mention I respect him immensely?
So yeah, I was nervous.
I spent a lot of time in prayer before our meeting, and had a realization:
If God wants me to have this job, there is nothing I can do to mess that up.
AND
If this isn't supposed to happen, there is nothing I can do to coerce it into happening.
This brought me a lot of piece and comfort.
I left an hour and a half before our meeting, cause there was NO WAY I was gonna be late. I got there 45 mins early. Time to kill. I sat and read a book for a while in the local McDonald's parking lot, approx 5 mins from his house, according to my directions.
At 10 mins to, I started heading over. I got to the end of the directions and his house was no where to be found.
Panic set in.
Do I call him? Ask directions? How did this happen?! Why didn't I come SEE his house first, and THEN sit and kill time?!?!?!?!
I calmed down and prayed. God, please, PLEASE show me his house. I can't do this alone and I am panicking.
I turned back and redid the same directions as before.
And, low and behold, there is was. See how God is all over this process?
Fast forward.
He told me an amazingly beautiful story about what God's been doing in his life, and the people He's brought into it.
These adventures and people have brought up an opportunity for him to start up a new company that will encompass and span all his passions & dreams for change in this city and the world. He point-blank told me that he wants me at the helm, creating and building this new endeavor (with a team of other people of course) if I wanted in.
This job, this life, is everything I have been praying, striving and sacrificing for.
So what do you say when bestowed with this honor?
You say YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am truly in awe of God's goodness and can't believe this is happening to me. I am really feeling overwhelmed with happiness and blessing.
I start on Monday :)

Simply Amazing (and I'm in shock!) Part I
We all know what my job situation has looked like for the last 1 1/2. It's had more ups and downs than a seesaw. I was told I would be limited to part-time hours come September 1st. UGH.
Enter God and His magnificence.
But I am already ahead of myself :)
A few weeks ago, at a meeting for an event I am helping with, I got to reconnect with a film director, Kevin, that I've had the chance of "sort-of working near" over the years. I know him, he knows me, but we don't really know each other that well. So we got to chatting and he asked me what dreams I have for my life.
I lit up like a Christmas tree and gave him a brief overview of all I have been learning about myself, my talents and that I would really like to head into production/producing/directing. He then in turn told me that he just landed his dream job a week ago. He will be making movies (as a Director) full-time with Erwin (visionary, activist and communicator for the world at large for those who are not aware).
He mentioned that he'd love to pull me on for one of the projects to learn more and I readily agreed.
Two weeks later.
I got a call from Kevin, and he left a vm saying he had something to run by me. To be honest I was dreading calling him back because I was SO swamped with work and didn't want to turn him down like I knew I would have to. But, I DO want to work with him sometime and wanted to keep good lines of communication, so I called him back to say just that.
Before I had a chance to say I'm super busy but try me again sometime he started to describe what he has in mind for me to help with.
This CAN'T be volunteer, I thought. There's no way.
Then he said IT. This would be full-time, with benefits.
He's offering me a job?!?!?!?
He asked me what I thought about all this, and I said something eloquent like, I'm glad I am in the car and seat-belted in, otherwise I would be half-way to the moon right now!
So we set up a meeting to have dinner and chat about it more.
Monday night (yes two days ago...) we met at Portos and talked. Suffice it to say that I want this job.
As I was walking away from the restaurant (literally 3 mins after leaving, I wasn't even to my car yet) I got a call from Kevin. He said that Erwin wants to meet with me and wondered if I was free tomorrow.
Talk about FAST!
2 hours later Erwin texted me and we had plans to meet at his house Tuesday night.
To be continued....
